Creative Director
Drew Carlisle is the owner & founder of Tried & True. With a decade of production experience delivering social media digital content for renowned brands and world-class events, Drew aims to deliver outstanding videos that draw captivated eyeballs in this busy, distracted digital age. He is based in the Charlotte, North Carolina area with his wife Ashley and their two young children, Alec and Lucy.
Editor
Ian Davidson is an editor specializing in event, social media, and brand film production. Whether it is clients such as HGTV’s "Love It Or List It" or other corporate video projects, bringing the footage together to tell a story is at the core of what Ian does. Editing is where all of the elements from pre-production and production come together and a deliverable is crafted that is absolutely worth watching.
Production Manager
Ashley Carlisle keeps operations running smoothly. With extensive accounting experience, she most recently served as a manager for Wells Fargo's insurance services division. Ashley received her MBA from Winthrop University. At T&T, Ashley often wears many hats. Often involved in pre-production, she may also be in the field filming or producing.
Cinematographer
Chris Randle has filmed hundreds of events and many narrative works. After studying computer graphics at PCC, he found his calling as a camera operator. At Tried & True Chris often serves as the Director/DP for any number of projects. Clients appreciate his attention to detail, assertive demeanor and quality output.
Assistant Camera
Brandon Brown holds a BA in Commercial Photography from Winthrop University. But as a cinematographer he has filmed projects as far away as South America. Brandon always has an eye for a creative angle. He resides south of Charlotte, NC with his wife and son.
Motion Graphics
Andrew Dicharry graduated with honors from SCAD in 2010. Since then he has continued to grow in experience working with agencies, video production companies like T&T, and large broadcast companies such as Fox Sports and Raycom Media. He has the design skill set to mimic any contemporary style and/or create original sleek motion graphics from scratch.
Producer
Elizabeth Green is a former WCIV Charleston on-air news producer and reporter. She now works as a broadcasting instructor and freelance producer. Elizabeth is adept at guiding an interview to elicit the responses that best tell an overarching story. She is a big picture person who skillfully works with a shoot director and editor to see a project through to completion.
Audio + Sound Design
Joe Miller is a music composer, sound designer, and audio engineer with professional credits in music production and audio post-production. He has created original music and sound design elements for award winning feature films, national TV series for cable broadcast, marketing campaigns for companies, and more.
Aerial Video
Justin Miller is an FAA ATP rated airline pilot with 5000 flight hours. He also holds an FAA Part 107 remote pilot license for small unmanned aircraft systems and has been flying drones, remote control airplanes, and helicopters for many years. He lives in Fort Mill, SC with his wife, son, and cat.
Cinematographer
Lauren attended Emerson College and graduated with BA in video production. She has held positions at the Boston Red Sox and Celtics as part of their social media broadcast teams. She continues to serve tennis events such as Wimbledon, the BNP Paribas Open and the US Open. At T&T you will often find Lauren serving as a second unit director.
On Air Talent + Host
Blair Henley is a host with experience in the studio, and in the field having emceed some of the largest stages in the world. Adept at handling thoughtful on-camera interviews or announcing live in front of thousands, her skills are versatile and her style inviting. With additional experience as a writer for espnW and as a voice artist, she is a multi-talented force bringing value to any T&T assignment.
Event Photographer
Davey Morgan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Art from Erskine College. Over the past decade he has photographed hundreds of events and worked in every photographic situation. Davey has won various awards including winning first place in an International Nikon photography contest.
Sports Photographer
Jared Wickerham is a sports, editorial news and commercial freelance photographer. He has covered most major sporting events including the US Open, World Series, Super Bowl, and Sochi Winter Olympics. His clients have included Getty Images, The New York Times, Sports Illustrated, and many more.
